  • 1 onion, diced
  • 5–6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Mushrooms of your choice, sliced
    (as many as you like)
  • 1 pack of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup soup broth
    (chicken or vegetable)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Handful of fresh chives, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 500g rigatoni
  • Black pepper, to taste

🔥 Instructions:

1. Prepare Ingredients

Dice the onion, mince the garlic, and slice the mushrooms. Chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces.

2. Cook the Bacon

In a large pan over medium heat, sauté the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, but keep the flavourful bacon fat in the pan.

3. Sauté the Onion

Add the diced onion to the pan and cook in the bacon fat until soft and translucent.

4. Add Mushrooms and Garlic

Stir in your sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and fragrant. Season with black pepper to taste.

5. Combine with Bacon

Return the crispy bacon to the pan and give everything a good stir.

6. Add Liquids and Cheese

Pour in the soup broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer until thick and creamy.

7. Finish with Chives and Lemon

Add a generous handful of chopped chives and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to brighten the dish.

8. Cook the Rigatoni

Boil the rigatoni according to the package instructions. Drain and toss it directly into your creamy bacon mushroom sauce.
